Carquinez Village members and volunteers are invited to take the 11:00 am Vallejo Ferry to San Francisco on October 11. Please register in advance.

 

Parking is available across the street from the ferry terminal (allow time to use the pay station).   Ferry tickets may be purchased onboard or if you have a Senior Clipper card, the special fare is $4.60 each way. 

 

Tips to enhance your experience: sunscreen, hats, water.  For personal safety, avoid carrying big purses or placing a wallet in a back pocket. Perhaps try a fanny pack, money belt, or cross-body style of purse. 

 

This is an independent, unguided event.  You may use the ferry ride into San Francisco to meet fellow Village members and make plans for the day's adventure. Some suggestions:

 

Walking/Exploring Options:

1. Transamerica Pyramid. 15-20 minute walk

2. Salesforce Park Tower walk.  ½ mile/15 minute walk each way

3. Rincon Center Post Office lobby murals.  5” walk 

4. Walk along the waterfront Bay Trail.

5. Stroll the Ferry Building shops and eateries

6. Sit and enjoy the waterfront and ‘big city’ views

Ferry back to Vallejo:  2:20 departure.
