Calling all mystery lovers! Do you savor the thrill of a gripping page-turner, a twisty plot, or the chase of solving the unsolvable? I’d like to invite you to be part of an exclusive gathering where every clue is uncovered, every red herring debated, and every reveal savored.
We will start by meeting on October 21, the third Monday of each month, from 1:30-3:00 PM—alternating between cozy in-person discussions at a local coffee shop and virtual gatherings via Zoom. Whether you're a seasoned sleuth or just dipping your toes into the world of suspense, this is your chance to connect with fellow fans in a small, intimate group of only 7 members to start with!
With a fresh mystery to explore each month, we’ll dive deep into a variety of sub-genres—from classic whodunits and psychological thrillers to noir and contemporary crime fiction.
Don’t miss the chance to exchange theories over coffee (or from the comfort of your favorite chair at home!). Spaces are limited, so grab your magnifying glass and join us as we solve the next great mystery together!
Our first book will be: THE FROZEN RIVER, by Ariel Lawton. “A gripping historical mystery inspired by the life and diary of Martha Ballard, a renowned 18th-century midwife who defied the legal system and wrote herself into American history. Clever, layered, and subversive, Ariel Lawhon’s newest offering introduces an unsung heroine who refused to accept anything less than justice at a time when women were considered best seen and not heard. The Frozen River is a thrilling, tense, and tender story about a remarkable woman who left an unparalleled legacy yet remains nearly forgotten to this day.” GoodReads
