In recognition of Safety Awareness Month, we are honored to welcome one ot the Division Chiefs of the Benicia Fire Department to our monthly Speaker Series and invite you all to join in.

Since it is National Emergency Preparedness Month, the speaker will be addressing us on how to prepare ourselves for any emergency, but specifically one that could result in fire.  Specifically, the representative will address what we could have at the ready in terms of information, water supply, pet  preparations, fire extinguishers.  And how to ensure that the fire department knows that you may live alone and/or be vulnerable should you need to be evacuated. Carquinez VIllage is committed to help each of our seniors and others in our community to be as safe and ready for any emergency that can occcur at any time.  Toward that end, we have been sending out email blasts and trying to ensure that we are all better informed about online alerting systems and key phone numbers we should have on hand as well as personal information we can place in a secure place in our homes.
