The San Francisco Symphony All-San Francisco Concert for Community Partners honors Bay Area nonprofits by inviting us to attend, for free, a special performance of their opening night concert.
This year, Esa-Pekka Salonen will conduct Don Juan by Richard Strauss. Baritone Simon Keenlyside will perform Mahler's Songs of the Wayfarer. Hip-hop artist Kev Choice and Freestyle artist Anthony Veneziale will perform Rap Notes by Anders Hillborg. And, if that isn't enough, we will also be treated to Maurice Ravel's exciting Bolero.
We had great fun attending the concert last year, so we are hoping we will again get enough volunteer drivers to chauffeur us to Davies Hall. We have 20 tickets, so please indicate if you are willing to drive and how many you can take. Drivers will be eligible for reimbursement for tolls, parking, and gas.
We'll gather at the 9th Street parking lot in Benicia at 5:30 to carpool into SF.
Registration for attendance is initially limited to members and volunteers only until 9/16, after which time guests may be included if tickets are still available.
