Social Activities – to Connect You
Monthly Potluck Dinners
Our potlucks, we think, are the best in town! They are held in the homes of our members and volunteers and are a wonderful way to enjoy a delicious feast and make and get to know some of new friends.
“Tuesdays at Ten” Weekly Coffees
The “Carquinez Village Roving Café” is a casual gathering from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. every Tuesday. No need to register. Just stop by––and bring a friend! It’s not limited to Village members. Check the Village schedule of activities to see where the coffee hour is meeting each week. It meets at different places––including Raleys, One House Bakery, Farm and Flower, and the Java Point Café.
Interest Groups
Our small interest groups are one of the best ways to make new friends. While groups change from time to time, we currently offer groups such as book clubs, movie discussion, Men's Group, weekly bocce ball team, mediation group, memoir writing club, "Over 80's Club", weekly walking and coffee groups, gardening group and more! We are always exploring ideas for new interest groups that will serve our members.
Special Events
We host two large-scale events each year: a holiday party in December and a Carquinez Village birthday celebration in April. In addition, each December we take the ferry in and out of the city to see the lights and have a party along the way.
Other Social Events? We are constantly adding new and exciting ways to engage and connect members. Check the event calendar for the latest scheduled events!
